Martin, it's the remnant of two room cottage. I was able to see the outline of the external walls with difficulty amongst the vegetation but it was only this corner that was still standing. It is a real trace of a history. And geraldgee it is a lovely spot. At the end of a narrow country road, the hill to your back- the track leads up the hill - and the lough for a view.

Is this a remnant of a building, Frank? Or is it a 'stand alone' quoin?
If it's the remains of a cottage it's where I would have liked to live.
