Almost looked like an abandoned railroad car...but it's probably older than that!

Yes, helen it is older. Work started in 1775 as the residence of the 4th Earl of Bristol and Bishop of Derry from 1768 to 1803. It was used by the RAF in World War II and the roof was removed in 1949 - it went downhill from there.
