Martin, the crowds were big and everyone seemed really delighted to see the torch. The Olympic spirit still seems to be alive despite all the drug scandals in the sport. This was just at the end of my street where I thought there would be fewer people - expecting most to congregate in the city centre. We had a few protesters in the city centre but they were the smallest of a very small minority.
