Thanks Martin and geraldgee. This is just across the border in Co Donegal - about 5 miles away. A disused railway has been turned into a walk and I go there often - and yes it is always definitly worth the cold walk. The lake - artificaly constructed by building two causeways across to a small island (called Inch) is an important staging post for migrating swans
