One of my favourite sights, this time of year. Rooks gathering against a grey sky. Around here, they congregate overhead, having left their respective rookeries. Quite a sight.
geraldgee, I am interested in the small houses I find around the countryside built maybe 70 years ago to replace the thatched cottage and that was the reason I stopped to take a photo. I was just walking away when the birds rose from the field and it was a scramble to get the shot. It’s nice to get a bit of luck from time to time. And yes Martin, the Rooks are a fine sight. I had tried earlier to get some shots but was either driving or not quick enough.
Another interesting and unusual photo,I like the birds giving it life.
